NTEU Information
Many
members of the MPPA will take up tutoring or other
sessional teaching
work during their degree candidature. The
National
Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) represents the
workplace interests of
staff at Australian Universities, provides information and
advice for casual staff, and offers its members
a variety
of free training seminars.
Given that Australia's current
industrial relations sector is facing
an uncertain future, and since
the MPPA recognises that the
collective bargaining power of the
workforce has historically
tended to ameliorate the excesses of similar
workplace uncertainties, the MPPA encourages all of its members to
investigate the benefits
of membership in the NTEU. Further information
